Clean texture concept, Distressed texture concept.




This is concept art supporting the distressed version of my character as well as an updated version depicting him as clean. The clean texture will be used in various parts for the game. The distressed look will be used for the first level of the game after his encounter with an explosion.

The outdoor pea coat shown earlier will also be added at times in colder weather.

I like the overall design. kinda like a anverage guy who just goes potal. love the machetie.
when you do the hair it might look nice to try it the same way they did in Uncharted 2

there is a good pic of the character flynn. that shows how they modleled the hair.

Yeah that thread is pretty amazing, drakes hair was 4k tri's. I forgot to mention that I'm shooting for a total tri count of 5k at the very maximum if not 4k. So I think for his hair I will try a combination of planes like drakes and sculpting/normal mapping on the head itself.

very nice concepts. I have heard that doing a realistic character is a must for a portfolio so this should help you out a lot
